Javed Akhtar on Pathan: There was a lot of controversy over Deepika Padukone’s saffron bikini in the song ‘Besharam Rang’ from Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film ‘Pathan’. After which CBFC asked the filmmakers to make changes in the song ‘Besharam Rang’ from ‘Pathan’. On the other hand, lyricist-writer Javed Akhtar said on Monday that filmmakers need to ‘trust’ the film certification body which has the right to decide what will be the last cut and what will not. Javed Akhtar made this comment a day before the trailer launch of the high-octane spy thriller “Pathan” directed by Siddharth Anand.
CBFC believe in film makers
Referring to the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) as a “department” under the central government, the 77-year-old industry veteran said, “It is not for me or you to decide whether a song is right or wrong. Our There is an agency. “It is the people of the government and a cross-section of the society that watches the film and decides what will pass and what will not,” he said. Akhtar said, “I think we should have faith in the certifications that suggest what will make the cut and what they pass.”
Pathan will release on January 25
According to reports, the CBFC has suggested the film’s production banner Yash Raj Films to change it to ‘Shameless Rang’ and remove all mentions of the Indian intelligence agency RAW and the Prime Minister’s Office from the film.
